How to Fail in the Team Building Process - Five Great Tips

The process of building team work when it is managed and executed properly. Fails to work when you messed up and tried, without much conviction. This may seem obvious, but too often the reasons for failure are not immediately obvious.

This article presents 5 Ways to team leader to ensure near-failure in the process of team building.

1. Skip this bit of team assessment and just go on with it.

After all, the team is trying to have a fun day out. This is a day when there is no need to do their usual tedious work - and are paid for that too. So, just go ahead with some games and let them have fun.

Sure, you could do the bits of the initial assessment to discover strengths and weaknesses. Then you could focus on building strengths and eradicate the fundamental reasons for the weaknesses so that they can be addressed and eliminated, thus making serious progress in the process of team building. But it would be fun?

2. Focusing on one aspect and ignore the rest.

Forget to have a robust model. Of course, team building has many aspects, but if you simply focus on one thing, for example, the skills that each team member needs to achieve its objectives which should be sufficient.

Maybe that frustrate team members who will know that there are other aspects of teamwork that must be included and appropriately addressed. Perhaps the credibility of the team leader and team members rush start to get irritated, and perhaps arguments and conflicts will increase - but hey, that's life!.

3. Do not give the team building process enough time to fix any problems that may arise.

Your business is busy. You have contracts to meet your teams work and after spending two or three days to wander around, laughing and stupid games do not bring home the bacon!

She understands, however, that your company will benefit from improving your team dynamic, but surely you can do in a few hours or a day at most. What is the point to have a long-term strategy to address and resolve any problems that arise? There is work to do for the love of God!

4. Keep your process improvement personnel - do not waste money on hiring external consultants.

This business of team building can not be difficult to decipher. You only need a few exercises for team members to do. Make it challenging. Let them think about how to solve some problems, and yes, let them laugh a little 'too. This is what is, is not it?

It makes no sense to waste a lot of money to send out laborers valuable to a center where they will be pampered. Sure, these guys are experts, but it's not rocket science, just create a unit to meet the needs of your development team. The results should be good enough.

5. Once the activities of the team is over, it's over!

You can spend days and days to evaluate the progress of the team. Or you're working better as a team, or are not. It should be obvious. Why bother with the feedback on the progress? If problems arise, they can certainly be addressed.

Must have a sense for these activities as soon as possible and then get on with running your business and make lots of money. Now, this is the bit of fun! ......
