Letters, a sales tool Forgot


Hurry off to the next prospect? Do not leave money on the table, failing to close the ring with a letter to your last call.

"I like products equally competent salespeople and two strong companies might make for a difficult decision. Joe had received a letter from Wicked Widgets after each meeting. He had received nothing from Wonder Widgets. Reached for the phone."

A good deal is about writing. As a short answer e-mail or Instant Messaging (IM) is sufficient for the continuity of the business conversation, a letter has more weight in the sales cycle.

Short letter format: How do you write a business letter? The short letter format provides a framework for almost every situation. Three paragraphs and sentences are not many of this letter for quick access and easy to write.

Paragraph one - thanks for the meeting. Make a list about your business. "Thanks for the opportunity to meet with you today and Paul your sound well thought out marketing plans, we can certainly help with the indication, as case studies and direct mail copy."

Paragraph two - to stress the opportunities. Make a comment on the store perspective, the market, or opportunity, follow that with a statement of how the product can help meet the opportunity. "We offer a wide array of services we discussed capture some of your most compelling stories of success to generate sales collateral, web copy of the materials and brochures;. Our company specializes in visibility through persuasive copywriting."

Third paragraph - call to action. Close explicitly. Rather than "let's get together soon," say "Meet me at the beginning of next week to discuss the stress potential. I call Monday morning for an appointment." Thanks for referring me to Stephanie's marketing department. I will follow her to get information for our sample copy, we will present that to you at our meeting scheduled for 10:00 am Friday of next week. "

Why write? The cement business letter and communicate thoughts, clarifies and strengthens a discussion, summarizing a meeting and keeps you in touch with the customer. A good letter captures the attention and focuses the customer's mind about you. It defines an opportunity for your return. The person writing business letters is distinguished by the strong crowd. Since the letters take time and effort, they receive further credibility. In the case of Wonder Widgets, for example, a letter has a border of the seller. Your unexpected follow-up letter could raise the credibility for your company. Some time ago I won a contract simply because I have inserted three references on behalf of a potential customer follow up letter.

The short format summary letter provides an easy way to practice writing: First of all, thank the prospect and make a quick statement about your business. Then, the opportunity to reiterate and make a call to action. Your commitment to write will put you in the highest part of the sales staff. Try and discover for yourself the results .......
