Marrakech - The Holidays More Economic

The Moroccan city of Marrakech is one of my favorite places around the world. So much so that the Ochre City where I live today! Airline tickets to come to Morocco Marrakech are very cheap and very affordable. Their culture and history are fascinating, its cuisine is varied and delicious, the people are warm and welcoming, and the city offers many attractions and things to do. Marrakech is undoubtedly the exotic adventure of your life. I'll give you some tips for when you arrive in Marrakech. Probably you come to Marrakech by plane. If you have a reservation at a hotel or in a riad, the more likely someone will be waiting at the airport to take you to the city. If not, you can always take a taxi there is always at the airport, but not pay back more than 50 dirhams, about 6 euros per person. There is also a bus into town, which costs about 20 dirhams, less than 2 euros and runs every 10 or 15 minutes. On the way from the airport to the city, do not miss the spectacular view of snow-capped Atlas mountains.

Once in the city there are many accommodation options for your stay in Marrakech. The typical choice is the riads are traditional houses in the old city or medina. They are lovely, very comfortable and very close to the main monuments and places of interest. There are also hotels which are often in newer areas of the city, as Gueliz or Hivernage. Also you can stay in a chalet, which are usually on the outskirts of the city, green and wooded areas, and offer a range of services.

Once installed, there are plenty of things you can find in the city. The very lively Jemaa El Fna is an attraction in itself, with its snake charmers, acrobats and musicians and their all kinds of artists and animators, as well as many places to eat and drink. Just off the square you can not miss a visit to the souks, the largest traditional market in Morocco. There you can find whatever you are looking for and you can admire the skill and technique of the art and craft items that are manufactured there. You must know that most prices in the souks are not fixed, which means that if you want to buy something, you have to haggle, and haggle hard! In the medina you can also visit some of the most interesting architectural monuments of the country, from its impressive necropolis sixteenth century Saadian kings or madrasa, or Koranic school Ben Youssef, to the imposing palaces of the Bay and Bai, without forgetting the minaret of the Koutoubia mosque and the fascinating and picturesque Jewish quarter of the Mellah. But I think the mere fact of wandering around the medina, watching crafts and antiques in the many posts and enjoy the mysterious and exotic atmosphere is itself an experience.

The culture of Marrakech is a Muslim, but also find Jewish synagogues and Christian churches. Muslims in Marrakech, and Morocco in general are usually very moderate, very tolerant and are known, rightly, for their hospitality and generosity. In Marrakech in particular people are accustomed to welcoming visitors from all countries, cultures and religions. Also, if you fall a little more touristy areas, surely you will meet a traditional ceremony or a wedding, with its rhythmic and lively music. Marrakech is a real gem and a place full of exoticism and magic, as well as being right on the doorstep of Europe. Marrakech hotels are very cheap, making the city into a tourist attraction even greater. For your accommodation, I recommend that you choose one of the riads in Marrakech and certainly will have a memorable stay in this city that I'm in love.
