On solutions and miracle cures

Legend has it that when Alexander was in Persia, fighting to expand his empire, fell ill, suffering from a mysterious evil. The most famous doctors in the region paraded in front of his tent but none of them dared to give a final verdict. Many agreed that it should rest and relax. Common excuses for not expert be questioned navigate a sea of confusing medical claims and interpretations, trying not sosobrar.

The days passed and the sovereign state was getting worse. Until his personal slave, an older person of noble lineage, very humbly told of a witch doctor who lived near the Jordan River for thousands of miles from where they were at that time. His wife saw the flame of her lover's life extinct with each passing day, then ordered his transfer and the disruption of the military campaign.

The members of the military entourage of Alexander protested angrily, but when Alexander seconded the motion himself to his wife did not share anything but respect his decision.

After months of a journey through the desert finally reached their destination: a humble cottage, inhabited by someone else like a poor hermit magician a sorcerer as he had imagined Alexander.

The surprise was even greater when the magician refused to receive the highest great lord with his remaining forces, cursed in all languages.

The next day he sent the slave who had spoken of it, to request that we receive. Finally appeared. It was an older man, but old indescribable. He wore simple clothes but clean. His gestures, his frugality and tranquility indicator that was wise.

He entered the tent in which Alexander was lying on a cot. She looked at him and all he said was that when he returned not forget to take a dip in the Jordan.

Personal physicians, his entourage and Alexander himself did not believe their eyes or their ears.

"For that we have come such a long distance? maliciously murmur from reproach and an air of general disapproval. But the witch was not to be disturbed by the behavior of those individuals and as appeared, vanished again into seclusion in his hut.

Seeing that there was no other way out, the emperor ordered to break camp and return to where they had left months ago, having abandoned all hope of a cure, preparing for the worst.

Passing through the river, however, took a refreshing bath. After a few days began a remarkable improvement that was to last until his return to camp.

There he expected his wife to see significantly improved the mood of her husband asked?? Tell me who made you my husband, the sorcerer magician? Alexander, surprised by his own wrongful behavior with that wise, he managed not to say "Well I cured? not wanting to go into details so as not to lose face in front of his wife.

Sometimes the solutions to serious problems in our lives are easy solutions. Are those we never think, but simple enough to not see them.

I even dare say that the less weird and more dramatic approach to the real solution.

This can be applied to both living with our loved ones as labor problems and even in some cases health problems, which often go hand in hand with emotional conflicts.

There is a case to which I usually refer to more than one of my texts. This is the case of a child who lived with the obsession that his mother had abandoned her when she was 3.

He had been adopted, cared for and loved as few children by adoptive parents, but that was not worth the pain I felt every time he thought to have been abandoned.

A good day for one of those twist of fate he met his biological mother, who he had abandoned him. They talked and after a while the son asked if she really had left him and why. The mother answered truthfully and said "Yes, my son, I will quit because they simply could not afford to take care. It was I who sought your adoptive parents, and believe me when I say that something broke in my soul when I had to surrender?.

When the boy heard that, far from accusing or condemning felt that at last the truth had come to light. That truth which had so troubled, it was true. He immediately felt that this enormous weight of this "feel rejected? faded. Paradoxically, the weight of the truth was much more rewarding than any feelings of rejection that could have felt.

The boy hugged his biological mother deeply and thanked him for what he did.

Thereafter between mother and son began a deep relationship of mutual respect and admiration.

Many times the man prefers "to stay? the problem because it is "better known? that suffering. We could even take it to far as to say "Better known suffering suffering to know? paraphrase the popular saying of "crazy?.

This entails that we rarely stop to think what are the "obsessions? and "dramas? in which we find ourselves without realizing what is really happening.

Sometimes one does well to bathe in the Jordan River as did Alexander the Great supposedly great, but keep in mind you do not "cured?.
