The Next "Alakrana"

I fear that there will be a next case Alakrana, or other maritime kidnapping. Occur, have we learned the lesson? The bandits ragged and junkies who took the boat are infantry only a complex organization of intermediaries, brokers, lawyers, tax havens ... A sophisticated mafia-rich-in amount. So do not suffice to eradicate poverty suffered unfair Somalis. Misery are in Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and Haiti, however, neither country has made its first piracy industry.

An industry, moreover, cost EUR -2.3 million for the Alakrana pony-and nothing risky: the complacent inaction of the Spanish Armada for Somalis involves less risk than any drudgery inland. That is the shameful conclusion of rescue hijacked ship, which is that everything has been agreed with their immune authors: the amount received, easy escape, charging the two men by precipitation and to eventual pardon after a while. Furthermore, the hypothesis of a future international intervention to put order in Somalia is quite unlikely. If you have not already made other arrangements harmful to the world at large, such as Guinea Bissau, Libya and Iran, why go to be on the horn? Africa? The only risk, really, is the attack on a boat equipped with trigger-happy mercenaries. As someone who stands up for shots to be docked at home hair falls out, the private gunmen, however, seem authorized to create a mess of cracking.
